Corn snake food rats or chicks?
« on: January 24, 2008, 10:49:32 AM »

I am in the position to get as many baby chickens as i desire (just pop them in the incubator and a month later i have 30).  I also have  cornsnakes and i am getting a little bit tired of having to feed them all rats once a week frozen.  Its just a little spendy for all my animals.  I was thinking of hatching chicks and freezing them to keep on hand.  Does anyone know the nutritional value difference and any possible risks?  Would freezing kill off salmonilla and other harmful pathogens?
