well one is a boa and one is a python for starters lol

okay

The Green Tree Python is a species of tree-dwelling python native to New Guinea, various islands in Indonesia, and the northern tip of Eastern Australia (Cape York Peninsula) The Green Tree Python is remarkable in several ways: one, it uses thermoreceptive labial pits to help capture its prey -usually at night, and two, it goes through a drastic ontogenetic color change between childhood and adulthood. Green Tree Python neonates can range from highlighter yellow to brick red or brown

The emerald tree boa, Corallus caninus, is a green snake with white bands. It lives in trees and shrubs near water (like swamps and marshes in rain forests). It is found in the lower Amazon basin (in Brazil) and in Guyana and Suriname. Emerald tree boas are typically a shade of emerald green in color with a white irregular zigzag stripe down the back and a yellow underside. The bright coloration and markings are very distinctive among South American snakes. Juveniles are extremely variable in color, and are often orange or yellow, with irregular spotting.

Emerald tree boas  appears very similar to the green tree python (Morelia viridis), from southeast Asia and Australia, but they are only very distantly related, and are an example of convergent evolution. Physical differences include the scales on its head, and the location of the heat pits around the mouth in the boa.

If the book above does not help..(GREAT INFORMATION BY THE WAY)..

2 different species, 2 different locations on earth.. 2 different reproductive habits: the Green tree python layes eggs.. The emerald Tree boa has live birth... and of course, Green Tree pythons are usually $200 MORE than the Emerald.. at least when I shop for them...lol
