FIRST, the frog is beautiful!!! And thanks for rescuing him. I am a bit concerned about the white spots on its back, look like fungus problems. And in a poor environment, fungus infection will kill amphibians. Try wiping it off and see if it stays away, if not, need to contact a vet for advice.

As for the size, females get about 2 inches(not sure of cm conversion).. males are always smaller.. a 1 year old is still young.. may get little larger..

I do not keep this species, but I have researched their care, as well as talked to several breeders and what-to-be breeders. (I do hope to own one soon)...

For vivarium, FIRST clean EVERYTHING OUT!! That setup should allow you to pull the background out and give it a sponge-bath. Remove mealworms.. good for food, but your pick showed one crawling on back.. They morph into Beatles that most frogs will NOT EAT..they BITE..

RETFs are tricky. Their urine is said to be pure ammonia.. so live plants die quickly. The frogs can even burn their own skin if cage is not kept clean..especially the water bowl. For this frog, I have been told to go a simple as possible.

Water must be changed DAILY, Wipe down glass daily to prevent skin burns when frog "sleeps."

Substrate - Something like coco-fiber or just plain green moss...but be prepared to clean and change often.

Plant - Either use lifelike silk plants or easy to replace live plants. Pothos and snakeplant work ok with them.

Me, I would add corkbark to the background, can either silicone it in place, or something to hold it against wall. I would silicone silk plants to the corkbark and use green and sphagnum moss as an accent, with only green moss for the substrate, again, changing often... AND don't forget a small light on a 12 hour cycle. I believe these guys need around 80 F. I use a small 2.0 UVB bulb for my tree frogs, it brings out their color.

You may wish to do lots more research on this frog yourself. I have loved this frog for a very long time, but have never kept them. I just do not have the discipline to care for them properly.

Hope this helps some. I will surf around and try to post good links for you...
