Slate rock is actually the most natural thing for leos, alot of people say its sand but leos tend to live in rocky areas. I never used slate rock but its natural, safe, and looks good. I personally use paper towels or newspaper but slate or tile is good to Wink. I used sand in the past, when I was new to keeping leos, it was a newbie mistake that most of us make but we learn from are mistakes. Thankfully it didnt kill any of my leos.
