Why not?? I give all my large frogs/salamanders a pinkie once in a while. If I have live ones to give. According to many frog breeders I have talked to, mice are a good source of calcium.. and a great way to build up a female for breeding... BUT still done in limited amounts.

No amphibian should be given rodents on a regular basis.. even if they have mouths big enough. Way too much protein and fat.. BUT once a month does not hurt.  Even in the wild, they would eat a rodent if it was small enough to fit into its mouth.  Granted, these frogs get FAT.. But that is too much FOOD PERIOD... NOT just mice.

Currently I am feeding them with crickets only. Quite a big eater. They can grab 2-3 crickets per day. And i am feeding the crickets with some herbs (yes. I am planting some fresh herbs.), fruits, vegetable, oats, fish pellets, etc.
I am using 18W Philip 865 PLL tube.
