Maybe we could change the word "Cage" to Vivarium
A vivarium is a naturally planted setup for animals. Most reptiles like snakes and tortoises are not housed that way. I keep vivariums for frogs and other amphibians, but simple, bare basic enclosures for my snakes, torts and leopard gecko. This keeps the risk of disease and parasites down. Infact, most big breeders house these reptiles in plastic shoe/sweater boxes, with nothing more than either aspen shavings or just paper towels in some cases. (I use large fishtanks)
I agree, CAGE should be changed, but feel the Enclosure would be a better term.
