Some forums have a kind of chatroom where you can Live type chat - also a weekly schedule for quizes, puzzles, guess who's & what's! etc.... could be kind of hard depending on time zones - (maybe msn or custom built chat room) but you could say have a meet up for uk members at 8pm tuesdays  - us members 8pm wednesdays etc... and have a quiz or something to have a laugh and get to know each other a bit better!

Just an idea - see what others think?

I know that some forum software has modular programs that can be added to the existing website (don't know about this software though).

You can have it available all the time, and also it can show how many people are on it at that time so people will know when would be the best time to go on.

Having a meet up time would be a good idea as that way we can ensure that it will be used.  8pm UK time is good as then US residents can also join in if they are online in the afternoon.  8pm US time might not be so great as that's between 1am and 4am our time... and I need to go to work in the morning!!!

Then you could let the members who are in convenient time zones decide wether they want to play a quiz etc... as there could be other time schedules throughout the week that may be more convenient than others?  you don't have to compete in say both quizes each week if one puts you out a bit - just stick to the time meeting that suits you!

I like the idea of a chat room, The best thing to use is IRC. Which modators can be set up and so forth and theres away to set one up easily for anyone to access with our without a program.

I also think its the easiest to use and best way unless you get into the flash which takes longer to do. ill gladly help mod the chat when im on my computer. Which is alot currently.

let's see some action then dudes! regarding chat room - we can arrange to meet in it on a weekly basis for a random quiz for a laugh - the winner gets to host the quiz the following week!!
