We rescued a beardie from a pet store in November, She was very near death when we bought her she was being kept in a tank no bigger than a shoebox no food or lighting. She had laid her head on a rock and give up. We got her home and it was a chore but got her eating and drinking she was really dehydrated. Now she is doing wonderful her name is Saphira.

this is a fantastic story and you deserve a Gold Star* - It's not easy bringing a near dead dragon back to the condition you have!  I admire you for the results you have achieved and only hope the previous owner NEVER decides to buy a reptile again as they haven't and idea on how to properly care for such a beautiful reptile and their soul ignorance is enough to make anyone sick!

Once again Well Done and be Proud - I would!

Great job, she is doing really well now!!  It is very rewarding to bring a sick dragon to good health.  What a trooper she is.  What a great mom you are!!

Thank you It makes me sad to see mistreated animals I'm thinking about starting a reptile rescue in my home I will take them in and try to find them good homes and I will be real picky on who takes them. I've got a real good lobster roach colony going so the insect eaters will be covered quite nicely.

oooooh - be careful - you may get attached to lots of em! and end up having extravagant feeding costs! make sure you have the time and finances and commitment to be able to cope! Good Luck in your decisions....

Yeah, it really bothers me to when I see neglected animals.  It seems like reptiles always go by the wayside.  Most shelters or rescue facilities revolve around furry creatures not the scaley ones!!
