Mixing species is not recommended as one of the herpes may carry a certain parasite that is required in its digestive system ( or any other bodily functions ) and when this herp go's to the washroom the parasites could be transmitted to the other herp which could be deadly to collards/uro, now im no expert on these species but i personaly wouldnt do it, if you are forced you could clean out the whole cage and decorations and then just split it 60-40 60 for the collards and 40 for the uro (depending on the sive of the uro)

i agree with napolean, its nto recommended to mix herps together. Some times there are exceptions but its not always good. There is also something napolean forgot to say was that if you mix them they can end up fighting each other or something along those lines.

Mixing species isnt a good or safe idea Wink, it causes stress and a number of other health problems that will eventually lead to the death of one or all species.

I see 2 major problems...

ONE the Uro is Strict herbivore.. The collard lizards need some insect matter.

TWO: IS THE HEAT. Uros should have a basking side of 125 F... An american collard lizard would only be exposed to around 100 F. Way too hot for the smaller lizards.

And then there is the whole mixing species thing. Unless you are possitive these are ALL captive bred, you will be dealing with foreign pathogens.. that can cause serious health problems for the lizards. i.e. Africian parasites into a North American Lizard..

As a rule, don't mix.

Some breeds - for example the Bearded Dragon shouldn't even be living with other dragons! although there are ways around this - they are solitary lizzards and should be kept to live alone for best results in size colour etc.... Competition and Domination can lead to illnesses and eventually death.
