just a quickie as i couldn't help noticing that you wake them up - surely this is not a good idea as we should let nature take its course?  I've never woken mine up - they will wake when they are ready to feed... and drink... winter is a very quiet period for the bearded dragon it will almost become inactive and dormant (just like warm blooded animals hibernate) so if this period is worrying any bearded dragon owners - Don't worry - it's only a phase you get use to once your dragon is mature enough - very young beardies rarely brumate - although does happen in some circumstances.  As long as you do not notice any unusual behaviour or illnesses - rest assured.

I don't wake mine up either.  I don't force them into brumation either, for that matter. Smiley  Two woke up around Christmas (unseasonable warm weather) and two more are fast asleep.  One is an elderly gentlemen, so I let him rest as much as possible.  The other is my breeding female and likewise, I prefer to let her rest.  I'm kind of a "au natural" kind of zoo keeper around the house.

i dropped there temps a little and reduced the light cycle when 2 of my beardies started slowing down, i also added a dark hide for each of them and they gradualy dissapeared around the middle of november.
they have been showing more and more of them selves recently and feeding more, plus we are getting more light naturaly now.
so by waking them up i mean taking away the dark hide, upping the temps and sorting them with more hours day light.

yeah - well done thats a great example to teach to anyone who's unsure.  But, remember - don't force them out of brumation either - only turn lights on earlier if they start to arise earlier in the morning, and only turn lights off at night in summer time if they start to settle down for the evening.  In their natural habitat it wouldnt normally start to get dark in summer until 9.30 - 10pm.  We need to replicate their usual habitat and environment the best we can.  Good shout!
