Before banning any animal first micro-chip and if that does not work the last resort would be to ban but if things are done correctly and timelessly it will work. Wink

Yes I know what im doing. Im getting a male, they dont get as big as the females(only about 12-15 feet max) and I know how to house it. I hope you guys arnt trying to scare me out of getting one! LOL. My news paper screwed up and said the "boa" was 4 feet long!

yo male burms can still reach 18 foot plus, the largest retic on record "caseus" was a 27 foot male, its better to prepare for a female  Wink

I think there are larger Retics in captivity.  Fluffy - Bob Clarks prize winner is over 30 feet.  But that's off topic...

Well im the last person who would buy one of these animals because of the cool factor. Yes I have wread books about how to keep these snakes. The best one being hand givin to me buy my vet. Well, every burm I see posted on the internet, is not in good shape. All are over weight and the people play ignorant and just plane stupid about the subject. They say that their animals live long healthy lives while being obesse. My snake will be slim, the way they should be. More peole should be following my example on how to keep snakes.

this comment was a bit smug, no offence to u but all peoples opinions are different
another herper may see how u keep ur snakes and not agree with everything u do so plz do not assume ur husbandry is better than others as it is down to research and personal experience
these snakes do get very large so u always need to be on ur guard
love ur animals but with the utmost respect as there wild instincts can still show wen they see fit
