Warning graphic photo's
« on: November 21, 2006, 05:18:43 AM »

This is what happens when you buy calci-sand and your leo gets impacted and even though this product was labeled digestible it isnt when it gets wet it clumps together and blocks the intestines. Sad so please if your leo is on calci sand change your substrate to something safe like non-adhives shelf liner , tiles , repti carpet.    Well heres the link:

I have heard people try to say these pics mean nothing Roll Eyes, I dont know how much more proof one needs to believe something is dangerous. For me, as soon as I heard it is dangerous, I stopped using it. If someone is a responsible keeper and cares for their leo, it shouldnt take much more then that to stop using something.

Its not like it going to cost you a ton of money to switch to a safe substrate like tiles, they will last you a life time unless you break the tile becuase i dont see how a lizard that could way less then its flooring is going to break it especaily rock Huh If anything it will save you a ton of money becuase if you some how manage toget by without any impactions it will cost you a boat load in new bags of sand ( AKA Death in a bag )

Defently great point Wink, not only are you saving your leos life but saving lots of money but not using sand, calci sand is like $8 a bag, and playsand is like $4 a bag. I dont pay anything for newspaper, paper towels are cheap, and slate or tile can be washed and reused.
