I am a die hard hermit crab fan. I have four tattoos one that covers my entire back of something I love. My next one I will be getting a design of a hermit crab on my foot. People call me crab crazy, what do you think? Too extreme? I Have had hermit crabs for years upon years. I have worn a ring for many years that says "I Love Crabs!" I dont know why I am so obsessed, but I do know crabs are my life. People just do not understand how one could like these creatures because they are so "ugly." Thats what I hear anyways... I also am into snakes, and bearded dragons. Why are people so freaked out of these creatures? I do not get it! Lets all just  have cats and dogs, thats cool! NOT! I want this tattoo of a hermit crab badly. Has anyone else had this problem? Or is it just me? Curious... ~Heather

Heather.. I have two tattoos myself but none of hermit crabs. I had thought about it but the ones that did the tattoos didnt know anything about them enough to do one. I have heard in the past of other people getting a hermie tattoo.. No kind of tattoo is wrong for a person if that is what they want. Tattoos are representive of people or events or something special to that person.  I would love to see a picture when you get it done. If you have pictures of your others, would like to see those too. Mine you can see in my Yahoo Photo ALbum

Yes, most parents do object but they are a freedom of speech. If nothing else, once you get out of your parents house, then they are open to you. lol..

OMG......i can understand getting a tat of a snake or lizard, heck even a turtle, but a crab. Wow u must be into those.

Just a matter of what you like and what has meaning to you. I wouldnt mind having a hermie on me..but I sure wouldnt want a snake.. lol.. Each person has their own likes and dislikes.. I would love to see a hermie tattoo.
