The mixing of species isnt a good or safe idea. I have heard of people successfully mixing different species of frogs but its risky, your whites tree frog will eat anything it can fit in its mouth.

I really doubt the frog is lonely, they dont really get lonely. The guy you were talking about that keeps whites with a tortise is taken a huge risk with his frog. Torts are not normally meat eaters but if the frog gets to close the tort may eat it. My freind use to keep torts in his basement and every once in awhile a stupid mouse would somehow fall in the cage and he would find the tort eating the mouse Shocked. it made a real mess to Shocked

I've Done It.. And learned!!!

First, Cuban's are deadly!! They secrete a toxin through skin.. If other frogs come in contact, they will be poisoned..and possibly die.. Toxins may pass through water as well.. If the whites should mouth, or attempt to mate..could result in loss of whites..

I have tried many different herps with my whites tree frogs.. I had African Pan frogs..go under ground, same size, same requirements..White's SQUASHED THEM!!! Both where smashed when fat whites jumped on them..

Huh For some insane reason, I put a house gecko and anole in the terrarium.. Anole dissappeared with in a day... House gecko was smart enough to escape..only for me to find it and put it back in.. Last seen..under branch hiding from fattso.. Shocked.

I have had limited success with an adult big-eye tree frog. He actually lasted 2 years..Until I added a second white's.. Do not know reason behind death on this one..

I now have a 100 gal tank with 5 white's tree frogs.. 2 green, 2 blue and 1 spotted turquoise male... And this is how it will stay!!!

White's DO LIKE COMPANY.. This is one species that will be found in wild together.. The only other frog species that MIGHT do well.. is the White LIPPED frog... Also from Australia, they are same sized, and need same care.. BUT.. there is no guarantee with this.. Better just stick to another whites tree frog..but remember, the size..if it fits, it's FOOD...

My first question here isn't would they live together but do they like the same environment?

My 2 dumpy's like a terrarium type setting with plants and moisture. My tortoise likes it dry except for bath time.
