I have not had a snake for many years. Mostly I had boas, corn snakes, king snakes. The other day I found a six inch scarlet king snake. What should I feed it? It is very tiny. What is the best substrate? Will they eat insects? Which type of insects. I don't want to try and catch skinks or anoles. I don't have the stomach to sentence them to death. I would be willing to buy baby frozen pinkies if needed but due to the snakes small size I wonder if it would be able to eat them. Ideally I would like to feed it egg yolk or earthworms. Any help would be appreciated. Any information regarding the care of this beautiful snake would help.
